Rebecca Johnson, MLS

Mrs. Johnson earned a Bachelors degree in Speech Communication and a Master of Library Science degree from the University of Washington in Seattle and moved to Fairfield in 1985.  Her son and daughter were born and raised in this community.  Rebecca is a past President of Iowa Libraries of Medium Size.

In 2005, Iowa's Governor Vilsack certified Rebecca at the highest level for Public Library Management.  Prior to her employment at the Fairfield Public Library, her professional experience was in business librarianship.  Rebecca has also served the Fairfield community as a volunteer:  

     Girl Scouts:  Outstanding Leader Award
     Coordinator:  Junior Great Books Program 
     Fundraiser:   Fairfield Public Library, Girl Scouts, and her church
     Director:  National Association of Investors Corporation
