THE THIRSTY WORD (12/16/21)

Head to the Sondheim Theater on Thursday, December 16, for Sounds Like a Holiday! Sing-along & Live Radio Theater—for holiday music, comedy theater, and a food drive rolled into one. Price of admission? A non-perishable food item for donation to the Lord’s Cupboard food bank.

At 7 p.m., pianist Doug Daller and organist Dee Sandquist will lead the audience in a sing-along of popular carols and traditional hymns. A brief intermission (with cocktails available in the lobby) will be followed by an hour of hilarious, precarious, original radio-theater plays for adults, presented by the Thirsty Word reading series. Enjoy four short original holiday-themed stories with sound effects, written and brought to life by Dave Patterson, Meredith Siemsen, Chloe Hennessy, Warren Goldie, John Grunwald, Emily Martlin, Lou Bolster, Steve Kennevan, T. Lynne Singleton, and more. The sing-along starts at 7 p.m., and radio plays begin around 8 p.m. Enjoy one part, or both! Face masks are encouraged. With special thanks to the Fairfield Public Library and the FACC!
