The Home Front: Why an Internationalist Foreign Policy Needs a Stronger Domestic Foundation is a 10-page article in the latest Foreign Affairs Magazine and the focus of today's discussion. The authors are Charles A. Kupchan and Peter L. Trubowitz. Kupchan is a Senior Fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations, Professor of International Affairs in the School of Foreign Service and the Government Department at Georgetown University, and the author of Isolationism: A History of America's Efforts to Shield Itself from the World. He served on the National Security Council during the Obama administration. Trubowitz is Professor of International Relations at the London School of Economics and Political Science and an Associate Fellow at Chatham House. He is the author of Politics and Strategy: Partisan Ambition and American Statecraft.

Articles are chosen to provide significant background about a current international relations issue affecting American foreign policy. John Beghtol, former history teacher-of-the-year and member of the Academy of Political Science, serves as moderator. To ensure that everyone has time to contribute to the discussion, group size is limited to 10 people. Register for this free session by calling the front desk, and you will receive a free copy of the article.
