Did you know that the Chinese New Year takes place on a different date in our calendar each year? It begins on the first day of the first lunar month on the new moon with celebrations reaching their peak 15 days later on the day of the lunar year’s first full moon. Join us online with Zoom on Lunar New Year's Day for picture book readings about the Chinese New Year and stories from community members about their family's New Year's traditions. Visit the library on February 1st to pick up a New Year's craft kit for kids and see the Lunar New Year display. Happy Year of the Tiger!
